Prosthetics with removable replacement prostheses to a patient with jaw desomorphine osteonecrosis

Abstract

The application efficiency of the maxillofacial defects replacing technology with the use of a removable acrylic denture is shown. In the process of rehabilitation of a patient with a desomorphine abuse in background , the defect from resection of the maxilla has been restored. The application of the author’s method of obtaining impressions, allowed to achieve satisfactory fixation and stabilization of the dentures. That is why, an acceptable restore of the functions of chewing, breathing and speech formation was possible to achieve. A clinical study of a patient with a history of drug abuse and a status after frontal part of the alveolar process of the maxilla resection was carried out. Deformation correct was carried out by a removable acrylic replacement denture which was made with usage a modified technology. The using of this technology let to get the accuracy of the denture fitting to the prosthetic field and acceptable replacement of the maxilla.
